HOW IT'S MADE
Each squirrel starts with a solid piece of hard wood - your choice of walnut, maple or mahogany. This inanimate block of wood comes to life as it's sculpted into the shape of a squirrel, with rounded over edges to fit comfortably in your hand.
The next step is sanding, which is a meticulous and relatively labor intensive process. Multiple passes are performed, with a water treatment between passes to 'pop the grain'. This ensures that the finish will remain smooth, even after subsequent exposure to moisture.
Once sanded, Oven Buddy is ready to be personalized with a FREE laser engraving. Please be sure to select one of our standard design options and placement, along with the text or graphic to engrave. At additional cost, we can engrave any custom graphic design you provide!
After engraving and final light hand sanding, your squirrel is sealed with oil to protect and extend its precious little life. A bottle opener can also be added at this point.
Oven Buddy can easily be stored in your kitchen drawer, but why not place on your countertop to show off that beautiful engraving!? After all, these squirrels are specially designed to be free standing. Not enough space? No worries, use the included leather rawhide strap to hang from your cabinet or oven door.
