Custom-built dark walnut end-grain butcher block top for trolley cart.  Milled and profiled to exact customer specifications.  Finished and sealed with food-safe mineral oil and beeswax wood conditioner.

Side Edge profiling: 45 degree chamfer/bevel profile (1" run, 1" rise, slope of 1)
Side Edge Overhang:  1/4" built-up lip, 1" deep

Please note:   Butcher block is milled and profiled to customer-provided specification, with tolerances of ±1/64", well below industry standard acceptable variance from specification for countertop fitment.  

FEATURES

+ End-grain butcher block crafted entirely of 8/4 premium black walnut hardwood with 90%+ heartwood (vs contrasting dark heartwood and light sapwood in the grain pattern).  See media for sample wood color and grain-pattern.

+ Milled and glued-up to expose end-grain of walnut board, patterned into 1-1/2" squares resembling a checkerboard.  Top and side surfaces will be 100% free of any voids or defects.  Note that this may require filling any small voids with dark resin.

+ Side edge profiled with 45 degree chamfer, with built-up underlayment on underside for 1/4" overhang that is 1" in depth.  See media for 3d rendering.  ALL edges including side profile to be hand-eased to eliminate any sharp edges.

+ Sealed and finished using application of proprietary blend of food-grade mineral oil and beeswax.  Please note, this natural finish requires regular up-keep.  Basic care involves hand-washing and scrubbing to remove any food residue.  Avoid soaking the butcher block with water, as this can induce cracking and warping as the wood expands and contracts.   With continued used, as the surface dulls, the butcher block will also benefit from regular re-conditioning.   This is as simple as re-applying a generous coat of mineral oil + beeswax wood conditioner,  which is then buffed to a sheen.  ATMN Board Butter wood conditioner available for purchase separately.

Standard lead time is 2-3 weeks processing time, plus ground shipping.  Will expedite order per customer request, 1-2 weeks processing time.   Expedited shipping available at extra cost.
